Today’s Sun September 29, 2017 12:46pm

The today’s sun image from September 29, 2017, is one of the most unusual I have taken. It appears that I may have caught a daytime aurora borealis in the image.  This would also be unusual as it was taken at a lower latitude than these usual occur (Northern California).

The sky was filled with unusual and beautiful cloud and shapes, all day.

This photograph was taken at the time of a geomagnetic disturbance in the atmosphere, and coincidentally there was a spiking in the Schumann Resonance at the same time.  I take photos on other days when these factors are at play, so either I was lucky to catch this, or there is another cause.

Another unusual sky phenomenon. It looks a little bit like wings of an angel!!

Love, Solaris

p.s., It is raining for a few days here and I cannot see the sun!  Thus I’m catching up by uploading some beautiful sun images that I think you will enjoy, that I’ve previously taken.  I will sort them into chronological order after they have moved onto the Today’s Sun Gallery pages.
